A new staircase was designed for access to the new second floor of the residence. A small addition to the residence was made at ground level to accommodate the staircase, with the added benefit of providing more light to the interior of the house.

Stair materials include steel structure and railing with cork treads. The existing slate flooring
remained in this room.
