This residence, located on the Venice Canals in Los Angeles, California, utilized a pre-fabricated metal shed structure. The industrial interior was desired by the client, keeping the materials palette to a minimum:
steel, concrete, glass and drywall.

Tension ties are structurally necessary for this type of pre-fab building and became a focal point of the interior, especially when caught in the sunlight, casting shadows on the white walls beyond.
